I unfortunately didn’t get very much time to spend visiting Canal Days this year. I had a few moments to capture some pictures luckily so that’s what I did. I also recorded some of the fireworks at the end. I hope you enjoy!
I was recently invited to have a look at the grounds at Angels Landing. I took a guided tour of the property with Tracey who informed me that they have been improving the property and are allowing limited numbers of bookings for Weddings and Family Portraits. The grounds proved to hold some unique scenery! Anyways I had my handy camera with me and had a few shots that will help show the possible views the lands hold.
They also have available different farm implements available for use in photo’s as well including old tractor. The tractor would work out excellent for younger kids that like tractors to have them sit on it for a portrait!
You can check out more of what they are up to here:
I recently had a chance to get out and do some night shooting. I went out on a journey to search for something interesting to shoot… it wasn’t long into this journey that I decided all the cars driving by would be my subjects. It’s always fun to get out and practice shooting on cars especially when the sun is long gone down, I hope you enjoy the results!

I had a chance to stop in the Algonquin Camera Club as a guest speaker. I chose the topic of landscapes and selected a few images to share with the club. As I spoke to the club the images were being shown behind me to show the members what I’ve created as I was talking. It was an enjoyable time, and the members were all so kind.
So below I included the images for any members that missed the meeting this month.
Also noted at the meeting was that the members are going to do a landscape challenge for next month’s meeting. Hopefully after speaking to the club they have a new source of inspiration and can get out there and get some great new landscapes.
Whether you’re a corporate executive, small business person or aspiring musician, your headshot is your logo. As one of your chief marketing tools, this logo gets you noticed and gets you work by connecting people to your brand through an image of you that reveals your personality and conveys your approachability, friendliness and professionalism. You only get once chance to make a first impression. Why not make one that people will remember?
What is a great headshot?
A great headshot isn’t just a photograph taken with expensive equipment; it relies instead on a combination of the lighting, poses, expressions and compositions that bring out your personality naturally. To look natural, you need to feel comfortable. Only you can bring your personality to the shoot, but a great headshot photographer, like David Gadreau, can spot it, capture it and ensure it comes through in the final product. Throughout your session, David knows how to help you relax, positioning you towards the camera in genuine form, and most importantly what to say to evoke those warm, spontaneous expressions that make your personality shine through the lens.

I recently was travelling down West. St when I happened to notice all the heavy clouds behind the Clearance Street Bridge. It was a pretty unique situation because while there was a pretty heavy cloud cover in the North, the West was filled with sunshine.
Hope everyone out there has been enjoying the great summer so far!
This coming weekend is the Canals Days weekend in Port Colborne. It should be filled with fun and events that is sure to be a hit for all attendee’s.
Saturday includes Big Wreck playing the down town stage, and included are a few snaps of them playing at a previous concert I had the chance of attending. Ian Thornley sure goes out of his way to ensure a great concert experience for the audience.
