I had a chance to stop in the Algonquin Camera Club as a guest speaker. I chose the topic of landscapes and selected a few images to share with the club. As I spoke to the club the images were being shown behind me to show the members what I’ve created as I was talking. It was an enjoyable time, and the members were all so kind.
So below I included the images for any members that missed the meeting this month.
Also noted at the meeting was that the members are going to do a landscape challenge for next month’s meeting. Hopefully after speaking to the club they have a new source of inspiration and can get out there and get some great new landscapes.

Whether you’re a corporate executive, small business person or aspiring musician, your headshot is your logo. As one of your chief marketing tools, this logo gets you noticed and gets you work by connecting people to your brand through an image of you that reveals your personality and conveys your approachability, friendliness and professionalism. You only get once chance to make a first impression. Why not make one that people will remember?
What is a great headshot?
A great headshot isn’t just a photograph taken with expensive equipment; it relies instead on a combination of the lighting, poses, expressions and compositions that bring out your personality naturally. To look natural, you need to feel comfortable. Only you can bring your personality to the shoot, but a great headshot photographer, like David Gadreau, can spot it, capture it and ensure it comes through in the final product. Throughout your session, David knows how to help you relax, positioning you towards the camera in genuine form, and most importantly what to say to evoke those warm, spontaneous expressions that make your personality shine through the lens.

I recently was travelling down West. St when I happened to notice all the heavy clouds behind the Clearance Street Bridge. It was a pretty unique situation because while there was a pretty heavy cloud cover in the North, the West was filled with sunshine.
Hope everyone out there has been enjoying the great summer so far!

This coming weekend is the Canals Days weekend in Port Colborne. It should be filled with fun and events that is sure to be a hit for all attendee’s.
Saturday includes Big Wreck playing the down town stage, and included are a few snaps of them playing at a previous concert I had the chance of attending. Ian Thornley sure goes out of his way to ensure a great concert experience for the audience.
With police and law enforcement coming under increasing fire for a handful of highly publicized cases of police brutality, WDCX Radio and the Crawford Broadcasting Company prepare to launch ‘Props to Cops!’
WDCX General Manager Brett Larson announces ‘Props to Cops’ a month-long campaign –beginning July 1st- designed to thank the men and women who risk so much to make our lives safer. “Law enforcement represents the thin blue line that exists between us and chaos,” Larson says. “Everyone is against police brutality, but we are proud to say we are 100% FOR law enforcement!”
110,000 watt super-station 99.5 FM WDCX (reaching Buffalo NY, Erie PA, and Toronto ON), WDCD-AM 970 (Buffalo NY/Toronto ON) and WDCX-AM 990 (Rochester NY) is joining hands with local businesses to celebrate law enforcement during the month of July.
Larson says the stations are teaming up with local businesses that agree to offer goods and services to police officers and other members of law enforcement during the month of July. “Whether it’s a free cup of coffee or 50% off a meal or whatever a business chooses to offer to cops, we are not afraid to express our gratitude and say that we stand behind, those who protect us. We will interview police officers from all over Western New York and Southern Ontario and offer opportunities for listeners to thank police for the ways they have benefited as a result of police presence in our communities.”
